Loukas Georgiou, David Jones, Maria Marinou, Paul Sellers: Classical Poses, Gods and Monsters

Classical Poses, Gods and Monsters brings together four Sheffield based artists all of whom are engaged in their own distinctive art practice to explore and enjoy shared themes and tropes around the subjects of classicism, mythology and religion as experienced through modern eyes in an age of upheaval of a seemingly biblical significance.

By turns playful, challenging, spiritual and dark this bold juxtaposition of different creative approaches gives us much to reflect on about our own culture and our place in history.
