Bloc Projects Call out: Members Billboard Commission 2025

DEADLINE: 20 October 2025, 7pm
The Billboard live Dates:  Autumn 2025
Billboard Artists Fee: £1000.00

Each year, we reserve one of our Bloc Billboard Commissions for Bloc Project Members. It is an exciting opportunity for the selected artist to show work in a public context.

We ask that the applicants consider the site, location and potentials of the billboard. Note in particular that Bloc Projects has been exploring audio descriptions and other sound possibilities, as part of our billboard commissions since 2021. Visit our archive to get an idea of what we’ve done so far.

You can choose to: 1. send us a PDF form (less than 10MB) or 2. send us a YouTube or Vimeo link (3 minutes or less) with the following:

  • Tell us what you’d like to do in 500 words or less what your idea for the billboard is. This should include the audio aspect of the billboard, which is accessed on site via QR code.

  • Select up to 10 images of your current practice. You can include links to your website or Instagram, please signpost us to the specific works you want us to look at.

  • Include a completed Equal Opportunities form.

Please send your submissions to: info@blocprojects.co.uk with email heading: BLOC PROJECTS_MEMBERS BILLBOARD 2025

Good luck! We look forward to hearing from you.

Volunteer with us

Our volunteer roles provide a platform for people to gain confidence and knowledge, develop their skills and play an important part in supporting the daily operation of our programme. We offer our volunteers learning and development opportunities, insight into how a dynamic contemporary art gallery works, links into our wider network of artists and galleries and a friendly environment to meet new people.
