Curatorial Statement June 2020

We would like to share our latest Curatorial Statement from our Public Programme Coordinator, Sunshine Wong, which reflects on some of the challenges we and others have faced over the past few months and explains how they have informed our plans for the future.

Here’s an excerpt:

“Beyond the performative, anti-racist solidarity on social media, Bloc Projects wants to dedicate ourselves to the hard graft of institutional reconfiguration. We do not want to keep reiterating the “strangeness” of these viral times but take stock of the damage, review what is actually ‘pandemic’, and make informed steps towards decolonising ourselves.”
