Jo Fleming Smith & Melanie Pearson: Transient Landscapes
Fleming Smith & Pearson are two friends and artistic collaborators brought together by family and community. Both have practices spanning decades with themes of power, gender, love, death, and spirituality.
Transient Landscapes was an exhibition of their recent work inspired by the beauty, fragility and power of nature, investigating how the artists respond to life through daily engagement with the natural world. The work explored their interpretation of memories, relationships and experiences whilst being part of constantly shifting ecologies. The works on display included recent paintings and site specific installation.
