We are delighted to be presenting work from a selection of artists from across the UK who are currently benefitting from being part of the Bloc Projects Members Scheme. This annual group exhibition forms a key part of our yearly curated programme and is organised by an open call application of Members’ existing work.

This year we are also delighted to announce that our new Public Programme Coordinator, Sunshine Wong, has selected the artists for inclusion in the show.

Sunshine is an art worker, researcher, and facilitator. She was an art teacher in her native Hong Kong and later moved to Berlin where she worked as a curator of live and discursive art events. Since moving to Sheffield, she has been developing a number of projects that question how contemporary art makes a place for itself in public life. Her recently completed doctoral thesis proposes a “socially negotiated” art that considers relational artistic processes through embodiment.

To coincide with the launch of this years Members Show, artist Robin Waart, who was selected from an open call to our Members relating to our billboard programme, will be presenting a short spoken work performance alongside the launch of his new billboard, titled Evol.
