Art Sheffield is a festival of contemporary art which brings together new commissions, exhibitions and performances by international and Sheffield-based artists at locations across the city. Alongside this year’s festival exhibition Zero Hours, Sheffield will also play host to a parallel programme of independent exhibitions and events

Produced by a consortium of Sheffield’s leading contemporary art organizations, Art Sheffield 2013 gets under way with a dynamic programme of opening weekend events including live performances, talks and film screenings.

Oliver Ressler lives and works in Vienna. He produces theme-specific exhibitions, projects in the public space and videos on issues such as global capitalism, democracy, global warming, forms of resistance and social alternatives . His work constantly tries to blur boundaries between art and activism.
