Members and non-members are also welcome to propose self-funded projects to take place in the gallery independent of our curatorial programme. These projects differ from a typical gallery hire in the support offered in various areas including coordination, applying for funding, critical input, install and invigilation. Terms may vary to suit the aims and needs of each project. See examples of past supported projects here. Contact us for details.

Each year we work with artists and curators from the membership for a number of our annual exhibitions, assemblies and billboards.
Members receive a 50% discount on hire of the gallery or courtyard for a range of events from exhibitions, talks, workshops and meetings to live music and social events.
These include regional and national exchanges and visits as well as talks and workshops in the gallery. Members’ activity will also be promoted through social media and the Bloc Projects mailing list.
Bloc Projects’ temporary Bloc Shop events will soon be accompanied by a permanent online shop, which stocks a range of unique works, editions and multiples by previous and forthcoming exhibitors, and contributions from studio holders.
