Art, Learning, Anti-Racism: A Particular Reality

10 - 17 July

On the occasion of ‘What do we know (anyway)?’

A Particular Reality is a collective formed of staff, students and alumni from the Fine Art departments at Kingston University and Goldsmiths College, University of London, with a commitment to building creative learning environments upon the values of equity and care.

The first conversation marks the launch of their first zine, and sets out the aims and concerns of the collective to support those marginalised by institutions. The second conversation, hosted by Kingston School of Art graduating artist Amrit Sanghera, is presented in three parts each with a different speaker, Kalwant Bhopal, Harold Offeh and Adesola Akinleye addressing art, learning and anti-racism.

For the duration of What do we know (anyway)?, we are delighted to share the documentation of this non-public event to demonstrate how care-based infrastructures are showing up in JJ Chan’s practice both within and beyond their work with Bloc Projects’ Blueprints for the Otherwise residency.
