The PROSAIC MOSAIC group show of paintings at Bloc Projects will close with a Painters' Forum: a free public event at which the exhibition's participants will be invited to talk about their work and the show as part of the de stall process. Artists will take work down and speak briefly and answer questions from the floor. All are welcome to this informal, discursive event which will be chaired by curator Katya Robin.

Prosaic's curators believe that small scale painting can be radical. It can be made in sheds, garages, kitchens, studios, or even from bed. It is a direct form of expression that thrives despite all reports to the contrary. Recognising that painting is an accessible way of making art and for claiming a space within the art world is an important component of the PROSAIC ethos. The PROSAIC curatorial project focuses on such modest yet ambitious work that is often hidden in plain sight. By exhibiting and then publishing these artists they and their work become more visible and part of a wider conversation.

This event forms part the public programme associated with the exhibition PROSAIC MOSAIC: A Survey of New Painting.
