Florence Mytum was born in York in 1993 and now lives and works in London. She has just completed her MA at the Slade School of Fine Art, and recent exhibitions include the Slade Graduate Degree Show, Picnic at Subsidiary projects and 31 Celsius at ASC Gallery. Last year she undertook a residency with TFAC at the Griffin Gallery, and has an upcoming residency at the Slade Summer School.

In this session, the artist will give an overview of her practice and recent work. There will be an interactive workshop where she shares her tactile manipulation of materials and demonstrates some of her processes.

As part of Bloc’s Artist Development Programme, there are a small number of free one-to-one artists crits/feedback sessions available with Florence Mytum, ahead of her talk on Wednesday 1st August.

Salon 18 forms part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
