In 2014, faced with ongoing funding issues and closure, we took the decision to expand our premises. The project will enable us to offer a better range of facilities and increase our ability to bring in much needed funds, while retaining the feel and ethos we have built around Bloc Projects for the past thirteen years.
We are very proud of the community we have built around Bloc Projects, the artists we have worked with, the range of visitors we have welcomed and the friends and associates we have supported and been supported by in return. We hope you agree that we have made an important contribution to the cultural vibrancy of Sheffield, the region and more!
After considering moving to a new site, we decided to remain as part of the Bloc Studios community and keep cultural activity in an historic part of the city that is undergoing change through demolition and development.
Our small-scale build project will create on-street disabled access, facilities for residencies and workshops and more – please visit our crowd funding campaign page and watch our video to find out more. Although we have raised and sourced the majority of the funding needed, we need your help to finish the process.
All contributors to our #BuildingBloc campaign will have their name and website link featured on our website. Further rewards include an invitation to our catered VIP opening reception, a special limited edition artist-designed thank you card, limited edition artists’ prints, screen printing demonstrations, bookbinding workshops and use of our finished gallery space!
We greatly appreciate any donation you can offer.
